Skidmarques use the Hunter Hawkeye Four Wheel Alignment System to ensure high accuracy in all of our alignment work. Hunter systems have been recognised as class leading by their automotive industry peers, and have received many industry awards for their innovative approach to wheel alignment. Much of the technology that makes the Hunter system superior to other systems is patented.
The Hunter four wheel alignment system is used by many car manufacturers including, BMW, Ferrari and Porsche, and tyre makers such as Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli.
The Hunter system used at Skidmarques, utilises four High Definition imaging cameras to monitor each of the four target sensors attached to the four wheels of the vehicle. The cameras compare the position and orientation of each wheel in real time, against a database of the manufacturer’s original specifications. The results are displayed as an easy to read graphic representation, where measurements found to be within specification are displayed in green, and those outside of specification in red, a printed copy is given to the customer for inspection and the implictions of any measurement found out of specification fully explained to them. Then, if required, the vehicle is adjusted and re-tested to demonstrate that all measurements fall within specifiucation.
Hunter alignment systems incorporate many unique features necessary for us to deal with specialised applications such Raised Toe Measurement required on Audi/VW and Bentley vehicles. Similarly, the patented Control Arm Movement Monitor and Shim Select2 systems enable us to align vehicles with shim or dual cam adjusted suspension and steering accurately, and without the need for trial and error.
